My condolences to the Vanaman and Lippincott families. I worked with Ray at Lippincott Engineering. My daughter still has a bookcase/toychest in her room that Ray made for her at my request (about 20 years ago); it was perfect and exactly what I had envisioned! He was a sweetheart of a man, and was kind and thoughtful to everyone.

Very sorry to hear of Mr. Vanaman's passing. He was my Shop Teacher from 1978 thru 1981. I always admired his down to earth personality and his straightforward manner of speaking. I always knew that I'd get a straight answer to any question from Mr. Vanaman.
When I began my eighth grade year Mr. Vanaman told our class to pick a project to build "that would last the rest of your life." The desk that he helped me build that year is in my office, at my home. I still use it. The sign that he helped me make still hangs over my Mother's front door, and the end table that he helped me build is still in my Mother's living room. Mr. Vanaman also helped "build" part of my character as well. His examples of honesty, intergrety, and fair play in his own character helped shape the person who I became.
With sincerest condolences to Mr. Vanaman's family.
