Obituary of Dolores J. Cannone
(nee) Day
Dolores Cannone of Delran passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, April 21, 2018. She was 81.
She was the devoted wife 60 years to the late Anthony Cannone, who predeceased her on January 29, 2017. She was the loving mother of Richard Cannone (Kathy), Debra Medeiros (Michael) and James Cannone (Donna). She is survived by her grandchildren, Danielle, Christine, Lauren, Phillip, and Kellie, and her great grandchild, Caden.
Dolores was the dear sister-in-law of Jennie Urban (the late Donald), Helen Janney (Joseph), and George Cannone (Lorraine Campo). She is also survived by her aunt, Mildred Benoit, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Doris Brittin.
She was an administrative assistant at various locations including McMillan Publishing. Dolores was an avid bowler and had an average of 180. She kept active with line dancing classes and volunteering at both St. Casimir’s and Holy Name Churches. She was an active member of the Delran Seniors and the Knights of Columbus Club.
Dolores and Anthony travelled extensively throughout the United States during their marriage and loved seeing new places and experiencing new adventures together.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ 08075 and Thursday morning fro 9 to 10 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am at Resurrection Parish, St. Casimir Church, Riverside. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Riverside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ressurection Parish, 260 Conrow Rd., P.O. Box 1099, Delran, NJ or the Popcorn Park Zoo, 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731.
