Obituary of Christena Lynn Bushie-Fanikos

Christena Lynn Bushie-Fanikos, age 40, died Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital. St. Louis, MO. She was born December 2, 1978 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Elizabeth “Teri” Kelsey and Scott Bushie. She was raised by her adopted parents, Evelyn Otremski and Raymond Otremski in Riverside. She is survived by her two daughters, Carson, age 22 and Marrien, age 20. Christena was a talented and amazing singer/songwriter. When she was on stage, her best self shone through. She was the lead singer in the early 2000s for the cover band “The Rockets” and sang any chance she had. Always smiling and laughing. Christena had addictions and demons that she suffered with since mid 2000’s and people said she had the voice of an angel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 9 am to 10am at the Chadwick Memorial Home.154 Webster Street, Riverside, New Jersey 08075. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am at Jesus, The Good Shepherd Parish, St. Peter's Church, Riverside. Interment private.
