Mr Chinnici was a treasured leader, strong-willed, & yet an empathetic gentle giant. Luckily I served on Delran School Board for 3 years under his guidance. God has welcomed Joe 'home' with His Arms outstretched for a Hug of Grace. Sorry for your loss.

What a kind man and true gentleman. I remember many a conversation with him during my time in the Delran School System., particularly during my High School years. There was always a hello and a genuine interest in my well being however brief the conversation would be. One conversation I remember vividly was during the second half of my senior year, he sat with me in the library one afternoon after school to discuss what type of college/university would be best for me to attend.
My thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences to the entire family.

I will miss you. Looking at pictures and listening to family stories will just have to get me through right now. I am so grateful that I had the chance to know you for 27 years. I wish I could go back and listen to more of your stories Grandpa. You were a one of a kind man and it has been wonderful hearing all of these stories about you from others.

Mr Chinnici was always amazing to me. Showed me how an adult in power should handle someone being bullied. Always kind when I was in a whirlwind from home too. If he seen me he always said hi, was always kind to my parents when he would see them as well. He was just a great man and showed me how to have a big heart and still be tough. Thank you Mr C. You will be missed but always be a treasured part of my childhood and early year. I will never forget you.

We grew up in a wonderful time. A wonderful neighborhood. The Chinnici family lived on the other side of Smith St. They like all our other neighbors were part of our growing up. Part of our childhood. They say it takes a village to raise a child.....well it was a whole neighborhood raising all of us kids. We could just be ourselves....kids playing and having fun knowing we had wonderful adults in our lives protecting us. We felt secure knowing they were there for us, even at a young age. He was old school (no pun intended) he was a great man. Raised a great family and was a teacher to all of us and well respected. His daughter Barbara was in my grade. What a character she was and still is today! So Barbara, Mrs. Chinnici and the Chinnici family I want to say how sorry I am about your loss and I am sending my love and hugs to all of you. As I graduated from Delran High School I walked up to receive me diploma and he looked right at me and said..............well I'm going to keep that between him and I. But it stays with me to this day.... Thank you Mr. Chinnici for being a part of my childhood. A part of our village. You will be missed. God Bless.
Tracy Elliott and the Elliott family.

Mr Chinnici gave me my first teaching job at St Pete’s. He was a great boss for the 3 years I was there when I left for a public school job it was so hard to tell him. He told me that it was ok and everyone needs to do what’s best for them and their family. I’m so sorry to hear he has passed.

honorary member of the class of 76. Was at my folks house for the graduation party. Surprised a lot of teachers there too. The ones chasing our schoolmates and drinking beer. Lol. He also came to my house when I signed my letter of intent for college. He was one of my biggest supporters and it made me proud to know that.Just a great man. Unselfish. Always made time to talk, usually about family or sports. Loved him dearly. My prayers go out to his family especially Mrs Chinnici.Deepest condolences. Love from Tim, Chris and all the Bowker family.

So glad our paths crossed - not only sharing time with Joe as parents of children who attended in Delran, but the privilege to work with him as a staff member and then again at WBRCSE in Mt. Laurel with our ten district consortium. Tom also shared many a moment with Joe with sports for the local high schools. Rest in peace, Joe till our paths once again cross.
