Obituary of Maria Belli

Maria Belli (née DiMaio) passed away peacefully on December 21, 2021, at the age of 93. Born in Isola del Liri, Frosinone, Italy, Maria was a resident of Delanco since 1971. She was a member of Jesus, the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Joseph’s Church, Beverly, and a past member of the Amici Italian Club of Burlington County, NJ. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Giovanno, daughters Barbara Belli and Patricia Diehm, son Robert Belli, son and daughter-in-law Paul and Debby Belli, and granddaughters Jessica and Julia Diehm. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews in the U.S. and in Italy. Friends and family will remember her passion for gardening. She loved tending to her tomato, green bean, and herb gardens, and the family grapevine. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family making pasta while sharing life stories. Maria will be remembered as a caring person who thought of others before herself. She found her calling as a visiting home health aide with Visiting Nurse and Homemaker Services, Inc., where she made lasting friendships with the families of those in her care. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects to the family Friday, January 7 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed immediately by her Memorial Service at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster Street, Riverside, NJ 08075. The internment will be private. As a proud wife of a military veteran, Maria held a special place in her heart for wounded servicemen and women.
