Known as PaGary to me and my family, I thought of him more as a grandfather than a neighbor. He was my Mr. Wilson and I was his Dennis the Menace. Whether it was feeding me, helping me with homework or fixing my bike I knew he always had my back. Of all the things he could be counted on for the one quality I will always admire was his thirst for knowledge and love of sharing what he knew. He was a walking encyclopedia, owned a library of encyclopedias and was the first person I knew to have an encyclopedia on his computer. As a kid, we would discuss some country or person or historic event and learn as much as we could about it. This passion for learning and detective-like drive to uncover is quality I carry with me everyday in life.
I love you, PaGary. Thank you for helping make me the man I am.
