Obituary of Margaret L. Stokes

Margaret L. Stokes (Marge) passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the age of 81. Born in Riverside, Margaret was a long-time resident of Delran. She moved to Delanco in 2011. She was employed by the former New Jersey Bell Telephone Company for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Red Dragon Canoe Club in Edgewater Park and the Red Hats. She very much enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. She enjoyed watching game shows and was an avid Jeopardy fan. She listened to and sang along with country music, Alan Jackson being her favorite musician. Beloved wife of the late Donald Stokes, Dear sister of John Leusner of Delran, James Leusner (Carlie) of Delanco, Thomas Leusner (Jane) of Pennsburg, PA, and the late August Leusner (late Maryann). Also survived by an uncle, Frank Leusner of Cinnaminson, an aunt, Janice Leusner of Delran, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Guinness Room at Dooney’s Delran on Friday, August 25th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marge’s Memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, the Shipman Mansion Foundation Inc Edgewater Park, or to Zion Lutheran Church, Riverside.
