Obituary of Jean M. Henning

Jean M. Henning (nee Wasneski), passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024, at the age of 98. Born and raised in Riverside, Jean was a longtime resident before moving to Riverview Estates in Riverton. Beloved wife of the late William J. Henning. Devoted mother of Helen Palmer (Dick), Patricia Ann Myers (the late John), Francis Henning (Carol) and the late William G. Henning. Grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 5. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Wednesday morning, April 10, 2024 from 9 am to 10:15 am at Resurrection Parish, St. Casimir Church, 502 New Jersey Avenue, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am . Interment will take place at Monument Cemetery, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Resurrection Parish, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ 08075. Jean lived a lifetime raising her family at 6 Burke St in Riverside until the age of 94 with help from her son Fran and daughters Pat and Helen (long distance from her home in Washington). When it became obvious it was no longer safe for Jean to live at home alone, we were able to get her into Riverview Estates. We were very fortunate to have her there for the last four years of her life. It was an adjustment for Jean being in a Nursing Home but she grew to enjoy it. Mom was loved by all there and she grew to love living there. She participated in all the activities they had to offer. Her aides spent a lot of time with her praying and just talking to her. She especially enjoyed trivia, music days, her ice cream every couple of weeks, getting her nails painted, visits from the Deacon who gave her communion and prayed with her, loved her visit with the kitten, doing crossword puzzles, but most of all SHE LOVED PLAYING BINGO. Jean belonged to several Senior groups and enjoyed her monthly trips to the Casino. She was always on the go as long as her friends would pick her up because she never drove! Jean is now at peace with her husband Bill and son Billy. You will be missed mom but we know you are happy to be back with dad and Billy.
