Irene A. D’Ascendis (nee Devlin) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 16th at Samaraitan Hospice in Mt. Holly at age 90.
She was a lifelong resident of Riverside. Among other activities, she was an active member of the Riverside Historical Society devoted to the history of Riverside, Catholic Daughters of America and an early member of Riverside Turners.
Beloved wife of the late Chester E. Devoted mother of Chester (the late Susan), Kathleen Edwards and Karen A. Malecki. Dear sister of Alice Devlin. Loving grandmother of Joseph Malecki, Catherine D’Ascendis, Amy Edwards and Christina D’Ascendis. Great grandmother of Makayla, Tabitha and Summer Rose.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Irene’s viewing Monday morning from 9am -10am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster Street, Riverside, NJ 08075. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Peter’s Church, Riverside. Entombment St. Peter’s Mausoleum, Riverside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053
