Obituary of Richard R. Rossi

Richard R. Rossi, 82 passed away peacefully on November 28, 2016, with his loving family at his bedside. Richard was a lifelong resident of Riverside, New Jersey and the son of Frank and Mildred Henderson Rossi. He owned and operated Cooperative Vending Corporation, Inc. He was well known and a highly respected business man. He had a charitable disposition and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Richard was a direct descendent of Col. John Haynes of Coddicott Hertford, England who sailed from England for America in the year1633. He established with Hooker and other English Settlers the Colony of Connecticut. In 1639, he became third Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony and first Governor of Connecticut. In1682, his grandson settled along Rancocas Creek, Burlington County, New Jersey. Hainesport is named for this early pioneer. Richard is survived by his wife Edith, four sons, Richard, Wayne, Steven and Gene Michael, one grandson Richard, two granddaughters Stephanie and Jenna Lee, and one great grandson Mason Richard. He has four surviving brothers, Robert, Ronald, Roy, Wallace and one sister, Joyce. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richard’s Memorial Service, Saturday, December 3rd at 11 am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ 08075, where friends may call after 10 am until the time of the service. Inurnment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. Donations may be made to, American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
